Cancer Care at Evansville Surgical Associates

  • April 13, 2017
  •  by Alissa McMillan

Being told that you may have cancer can be one of the most difficult moments in a person’s life. At Evansville Surgical Associates, we have been providing our patients compassionate, comprehensive surgical cancer care for over 45 years. Last year alone, the surgeons at Evansville Surgical Associates treated over 1,650 inpatient and outpatient patients with wide range of cancers.

“The word cancer is frightening,” says ESA surgeon Dr. Dharmesh Patel.  “Fortunately, many cancers are cured by surgery. Let our team of 23 surgeons and staff walk you through and treat you during this difficult time. Our surgeons have over 200 combined years in experience for treatment of all types of cancer.”

Though every case is different, the surgical removal of cancer often offers patients the best hope of survival for many types of cancer.  The goals of cancer surgery vary, from diagnosis through biopsy, to removal of the cancerous tissue, to surgeries to restore appearance.

We specialize in surgical care for the following cancers:

  • Skin
  • Melanoma
  • Thyroid
  • Parathyroid
  • Colon
  • Breast
  • Lung
  • Stomach
  • Liver
  • Pancreas
  • Esophagus
  • Sarcoma/lymphoma
