We understand the emotional and physical toll of limb loss, and that’s why we know there’s not a one-size-fits-all approach to prosthetics. Everything we do is mapped to your unique rehabilitation plan to help you achieve your mobility goals and regain your independence.
Prosthetics is one of the most rapidly developing medical fields. EMC combines the latest technological advancements with compassionate, patient-first care. Whether you’ve been referred to us or you simply have questions, give us a call. Let’s move forward, together.
Your Pathway to Recovery
While every patient’s journey is unique, our process generally follows these steps.
Step 1: Personalized Plan
You’ll meet with your surgeon, prosthetist, and care coordinator to outline a multidisciplinary approach to your treatment and recovery.
Step 2: Post-Operative Care
Following your operation, your prosthetist will meet with you again to discuss short-term care and your rehabilitation plan.
Step 3: Trial Prosthesis
Over a series of appointments, your prosthetist will fit you with multiple prosthetic devices and guide your rehabilitation progress.
Step 4: Final Prosthetic Fit
At the completion of your recovery — usually about 3-6 months post-op — you’ll have an appointment to fit the permanent prosthetic solution.
Step 5: Resume Normal Activities
The next step is yours. Your prosthetist will schedule a follow-up appointment six months out for any needed adjustments.

We Move Forward Together
Prosthetics is more than just fitting a device. Regaining mobility takes balance, muscle strengthening, and mental stamina. That’s why at EMC, you’re not alone.
From day one, our care team works with you to determine a path forward that addresses your top priorities. EMC’s personalized recovery plans and commitment to patient satisfaction give us some of the highest mobility success rates in the industry.
World-Class Technology
Every year we read about new advancements in prosthetic technology that improve the quality of life for patients. Yet we also know that discomfort and difficulty of use are two of the top reasons patients stop using their prosthetic devices.
That’s why the Evansville Mobility Clinic combines breakthrough innovations with a functional mindset. Experienced prosthetist Jason Rider will design a customized device that truly fits your lifestyle.
Holistic Care
Positive outcomes happen when your body and mind unite. Our muscle therapy programs focus not only on the physical training but also the psychological preparation required to adapt to a prosthetic device.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, you will need a doctor’s prescription or referral prior to meeting with the prosthetist. Please call our office if you have questions. We’re happy to guide you through the appointment scheduling process.
Although many patients with limb loss regain mobility with a prosthetic leg, not everyone is a good candidate for the procedure. During your initial consultation, we’ll discuss your overall health, any potential concerns we have with the remaining bone structure, and your mobility goals.
Everyone’s journey is different, but most patients are able to walk on a prosthetic leg within about six months following the operation. Regular practice and physical therapy can help you stay on track with your desired rehabilitation timeline.
Yes, there are numerous types of prosthetic devices based on where they need to attach and the functionality they offer. You’ll work with an experienced prosthetist who will guide the custom fitting of a prosthetic device that fits your needs.
In most cases, additional surgery is not required beyond the initial operation to receive a prosthetic limb replacement.
Because prosthetic devices vary so greatly in their form and functionality, it’s difficult to give an exact range for costs. Your full recovery is our top priority. Evansville Mobility Clinic offers several financing options, and we’ll work closely with you to find the best solution.
