Laparoscopy
A wide variety of advanced laparoscopic surgical procedures are performed by Evansville Surgical surgeons, including Nissen fundoplication, hiatal hernia repair, splenectomy, colon resection, cholecystectomy, adrenalectomy, ventral hernia repair, appendectomy and diagnostic procedures.

Trauma
Evansville Surgical Associates provide the trauma and general surgical services for two American College of Surgeons Level II Trauma Centers. Directors of both programs are members of Evansville Surgical Associates. Evansville is the major referral center for trauma for southern Indiana, southeastern Illinois and western Kentucky.

Breast Diseases
All aspects of benign breast conditions and breast cancer are managed by members of ESA who staff two full service Breast Centers, which offer a full range of ultrasound and mammography, including ultrasound and stereotactic breast biopsies and breast MRI. Surgical procedures include mastectomy, lumpectomy, sentinel node mapping and MammoSite placement. Close cooperation with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and plastic surgeons ensures that each patient receives timely, current and personal attention.

Vascular Surgery
All aspects of peripheral vascular procedures are utilized by Board Certified vascular surgeons to treat our patients. Services include open vascular procedures, endovascular procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures and office based venous ablative procedures. Our ICAVL-certified Vascular Laboratory performs thousands of studies each year.

Bariatric Surgery
Three of our surgeons offer laparoscopic gastric bypass or lap banding to carefully screened and selected patients. They are evaluated and followed postoperatively in two Bariatric Centers staffed by a specially trained team of nurses, psychologists and internal medicine/family practice physicians.

Thoracic Surgery
All aspects of thoracic surgery, including pulmonary surgery, esophageal surgery and thoracoscopic procedures are offered by ESA.

Hepatobiliary Surgery
A broad range of complex procedures are performed by ESA surgeons, including hepatic resections, pancreatic procedures and reconstructive hepatobiliary operations. Close cooperation with our Gastroenterology colleagues ensures that all aspects of these complicated problems are managed according to the highest standards.

Oncological Surgery
Our surgeons offer surgical expertise for the treatment of a broad range of malignant conditions including breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, endocrine malignancies, malignant melanoma, lung cancer and esophageal cancer. We work closely with medical and radiation oncologists to ensure that each patient receives comprehensive state of the art therapy.

Emergency Surgery
Three ESA surgeons are on 24 hour call each day to care for patients with acute surgical emergencies. We work closely with our ER colleagues to care for these patients in a timely fashion. Our hospital operating rooms are staffed 24 hours a day with anesthesiologists, nurses, techs and other appropriate personnel.

Consultations
Our surgeons are available Monday through Friday for routine surgical consultations in one of our offices. Surgeons are available 24 hours a day for urgent and emergency consultations in the hospital or emergency rooms.
